Saturday AM, Larry and I went fishing in the Patuxent using bloodworms
(expensive) and squid (cheap). Larry got the first hit on squid, while I tried

Of course we caught our share of the ugliest fish known, to me anyway.. We caught
about five of these buggers:

That evening we took a tour of the harbor, which was a great way to end the day.

Got home Sunday afternoon, put everything away, and got ready to out again
Monday - play day on the Potomac. My younger daughter and her kids were itching
to see and use the new tube, so we went to our favorite little beach. Saying we
had it all to ourselves would not be a lie!

The kids voted on Belmont Bay versus Lake Anna, and Belmont Bay won. I taught
younger daughter a little about boat operation, and she obviously got a big
charge out of it!

http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l2...g%20with%20Rya....

Don't know why the kids love this place so much. Must be because they can go
exploring in Mason Neck Park.

http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l2...g%20with%20Rya....

Today I got a little break. Won't have the boat back in the water for at least a
few days. Gives me time to get the wheel bearings repacked.

Y'all take care.

Oh, I forgot to mention the splendidly lovely ketch we saw floating in the
Patuxent. Just simply oh so gorgeous, if I don't say so myself.

Stop posting my picture, John.

Well, quit catching all the damn fish!

John your living right, great looking bunch you have there.
School has started here so my little fishing buddy is busy but it don't keep
grandpa from having fun. I spent the day yesterday catching catfish and
enjoying the solitude of being the only soul on the Golconda Island out in
the middle of the Ohio river.

heading in after the last fishing trip, the day before school started.

I really wish I had a good place to catch a bunch of catfish. I've caught them
in the channel in the Potomac, but they're deep and in salt water. They tasted
like spoiled grease.

BTW - Great vid, and great looking kid! Thanks.

Do you actually do anything, herring, or are planning to fritter away
what remains of your life doing nothing, just like when you were not

Bro,
Spending quality time with your children and grand children isn't exactly
frittering your life away.
Being forced to work the rest of your life writing stupid stuff is quite
sad. I wish I could help you. We all need to take time to smell the roses. I
hope you learn that before you waste away.
