So, I can get a 120 V 10gph pump for $310 and then add clorox to the
cistern to kill the bad stuff and use it for bathing and dishwashing.
So, worthwhile or not? Being used to boat living with not using much
fresh water, even 5 gal/day might be useful.

i wouldnt do it. if you have giardia or other bacteria, clorox is a
short term solution to a long term problem. you can get reinfected
from the water's source. and you have no idea how much water is there
so you're guessing at the dosage. we use 1/4 cup of bleach to 1
gallon of water to disinfect ambulances contaminated with body fluids.

Thanks...if loogy or snotty ever show up on my sidewalk, I'll know
what to use to clean it with... :)

You're a bad ass!

I'm only a bad ass when I can hide behind my computer. I'm really scared
****less.
