Perhaps he got a notice and enlisted. He retired in the early 1990's. Amazing guy. He oak-wood planked the entire interior of his house (except the baths and kitchen), and then, after discovering his house had a brick lip below grade, bricked his entire house and then installed new windows. I "hired" him from time to time to handle some homeowner tasks, which he completed with aplomb. |
