Is it just me or is soliciting donations getting way the hell out of hand?
Last time I was at Walmart, the checker asked for a donation to some international childrens thing and when I turned her down, she asked to round up my bill. For the same cause. Got hit up twice in the friggin parking lot, once was some cheerleader squad and the other a guy selling crappy overpriced t-shirts and claiming the proceeds go to charity. Next day, kids show up with the magazine subscription/ finance our trip to wherever and later make a donation and get a "gift" of stale peanut brittle. I already have a few charities that suck the life from my wallet: electric company water company insurance company mortgage company Not to mention a teenage daughter and a wife that seem to get 90% off the top. .. |

You stated, "and for 30 years americans voted for right wing bull****. look where it got us." That was an erroneous comment. Also, I asked you a question: In any case, the 'far right wing country' thing is changing. Left to their own devices, the liberals will have us in the same shape as that country to our south within a generation. Do you agree or disagree? -- I hope your day is simply *SPECTACULAR* !! Next day, kids show up with the magazine subscription/ finance our trip to wherever and later make a donation and get a "gift" of stale peanut brittle. I already have a few charities that suck the life from my wallet: electric company water company insurance company mortgage company Not to mention a teenage daughter and a wife that seem to get 90% off the top. . Hell, even Safeway puts a request on their damn credit card machine. I've complained to the manager, but it's not done any good. You're a racist. Knee jerk post, Harry? You're a liar. |
