I believe the weather has finally turned for the better... so any day now. I've been talking to the bimini factory about the mounting fittings. I'd rather use the top of gunnel mounts, but the framework would have to be stretched another 3.5" wider...this may force me to get nylon wedges so the 'eye end' on the framework can rotate easily in the fitting. The company also sent along 'side mounting' hardware that would fit better on the 3/4" spacers I cut from a Starboard type plastic. These fittings would be on the inside of the boat directly under the gunnel....... a smaller version of the way you had the rod holders attached. Why don't you FEDEX the boat to the factory and let them fit you up with a nifty top. |
