Yeah, I can tell.

I'm merely fertilizing what herring started.

Read your post again. A dumb kid in middle school would follow that mantra.

This place isn't alt.tit.for.tat or rec.they.started.it

This is rec.boats. It used to be a fun place for boating discussion.
but it seems the boaters get shut down for the rest of the babble.

c'mon guys.

As I stated yesterday, so long as the ID spoofers/ID changers
continue
their destructive ways, and so long as John Herring keeps up his
sniping
asshole behavior, the newbies will "flood" rec.boats. As soon as they
stop, the flood will recede.

As for boating discussions, it's not much fun when the usual
right-wing
assholes crap on every discussion.

Why feed it?

Tim, I think your query is misdirected. Why not go after the ID
spoofers/ID changers, and the pack of righties who gang up and go after
posters like 'Plume? A bit of reasonable behavior from "the boys" might
result in what you want, though I doubt this will again become a place
for boating discussions.

Your buddy herring is one of the worst offenders in terms of "the pack
of righties..."

Why single out anyone?

Political crap contributions don't discriminate.

I think Harry has at least a partial point. There's a difference between
someone who makes a political post and someone who spoofs constantly,
uses foul language, and puts people down. I'm not claiming Harry doesn't
do this. I'm just claiming that there's a difference between those who
have a political opinion and those who have a hateful response.

You must be plenty hateful. Never mutch rational in your rant.

I'm not defending any spoofers, but also I'm not defending the

When I started posting here in the late 90's this was really a cool
and fun boating forum where you could get all kinds of quality
nautical info from a variety of true experts.

look at what's here now.

Boating posts have all but been rooted out by the tag-teamers.

Most boating posts were rooted out years ago by nit-picking "topic
assassins" who went after virtually every knowledge-based post in a sort
of "I know better than you" feeding orgy. That is what drove off the few
boating business professionals we had here, and many of the more
experienced serious boaters.

The off-topic posts don't bother me if they have any sort of useful
information in them, and if they come from posters who have boats or a
demonstrated serious interest in boats. That would exclude a substantial
number of the posters here these days.

Most posters here are political conservatives, and many but not all seem
unable to tolerate those few of us with differing views. They want only
"white-breaders" like them here. One of those morons earlier today
insisted I "demonstate" my religious views were not "heathen."

hk, you are just as bad as anyone, you profess teabagging for an
example. To you, if they are not dripping we Obama kissing liberal
whiners, they must be teabaggers.

Then there is de-fumer and pubic hair, everyone not a Obama kissing
liberal whiners that think they can borrow their way through lives is a
racist.

c'mon guys.

Invite them Tim. I'd rather discuss boats with Christians than heathens
like Harry. At least they will be civil.

Now *that* is funny. You think that because I don't believe in the
delusion called christianity, I'm a heathen. Apparently you don't know
any more about religion than you do about anything else.

Now, before you get your wife's panties in a wad, remember that I think
the guy christians call jesus was a cool dude, if he existed. But
christianity, not so much.

Hey hk, you got that remark after you bad mouthed christians, not
before. Like a pushy selfish noisy nosey liberal POC, you seem to fell
everyone is trash if they are not a noisy nosey liberal POC like you.

Hey, I loath liberals because they tend to be this way. No remorse in
getting others to pay for it either. No respect for others types.

But here, I kick back.

They're little boys. They think it's manly to put people down while
pretending to having a "conversation" with themselves. It's actually
called masturbating.

Wow, that's so sad. I thought masterbating was supposed to be fun.

It is, and very few people haven't masterbated. But to a newsgroup? Sick.

discussions off topic as soon as one of us tries to get involved. When
he blames others here, it's just nonsense, really Tim... Really?
