Words of wisdom sent by a friend:

Like most folks in this country, I have a job. I work, they pay me.
I pay my taxes & the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit.

In order to get that paycheck, in my case, I am required to pass a
random urine
test (with which I have no problem).

What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to
people who
don't have to pass a urine test.

So, here is my question: Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to
get a
welfare check because I have to pass one to earn it for them?

Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on
their feet.
I do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping someone sitting
on their
BUTT----doing drugs while I work.

Can you imagine how much money each state would save if people had
to pass a
urine test to get a public assistance check?

I guess we could call the program "URINE OR YOU'RE OUT"!

Sounds like a damn good idea to me.

When did you ever 'work'?
Certainly didn't produce any results in your army life ....and less as
a teacher.

Anyone can get a job. Post your achievements as a *parent*, Don.

gee. the rich folks who created this debt by taking bush's tax cuts

Everybody got a deal in the Bush tax cuts, Almost half the people in
the US don't pay any income taxes at all. Middle class taxes are lower
than they have been in many years. Certainly the lowest they have been
in my life.
I have already posted the main numbers in my return and it was about
9%. I used to plan on 18-20%.

Almost half the people in the US aren't old enough to work.

Actually it must be less than that, unless the average age is 18 or
something. But I know it to be well over 25 years of age.

http://usgovinfo.about.com/cs/census...abirthrate.htm

Immigration is the only reason US population is stable, as resident
birth rates are below sustaining levels.

Say about 25% are 18 or under. 13% retired or so. With less that 30%
working in non-government jobs and pay any signifigant amount of taxes,
well, one can see a huge problem that exists.

I would rather be a paid up Conservative nut job than a Liberal with no
nuts, no job in debt and living off of other people like a leach.
