Nu-Canoe-review

A friend had one of these odd craft made somewhere in WA for our trip
this past weekend. I did not paddle it but it looked interesting to
me. I do not like kayaks because my knees are bad (too much caving)
and I like the more upright position of a canoe. The Nu-Canoe is a
sort of cross between a canoe and kayak with a high seat.
It is roto-molded plastic resembling a "sit-on" kayak but is really a
"sit-in". From my perspective watching him paddle it the boat seemed
very beamy so I'd expect it to be stable.
Unfortunately, I did not paddle it so I cannot say how it handles.

I'm not really a fan of kayaking or canoeing, but if I was I'd
probably end up with a Mokai.

drawbacks: no paddling exercise, a bit noisy, and $4000.00 for some
plastic.

But they look fun in their own right.
