Speaking of boat covers...
A while back, if you'll recall, I'd ordered one and never recieved it. UPS had
it 'tracked' to my porch, but I never saw it. And, I'd never had anything stolen from my porch that I know of. Anyway, bottom line is that UPS honored the claim, paid the shipper, who then made and shipped a brand new boat cover. I'm a happy clam again. |

If I don't get right out at the first & only door buzz, the courier guy will just leave the package on the front step and leave. A bit foolhardy here, where the house is only 25 feet from the sidewalk and the package would be in view of anyone walking by. It's at the point that I have to hang around the house the day a package is expected. |

It's at the point that I have to hang around the house the day a package is expected. My front door is perhaps 35 feet from the street, and the common practice here, for both Fedex and UPS, is to leave the package on the doorstep, unless a signed reciept is requested. Other than the boat cover, I've never known of anything not to arrive or to get stolen from my porch. I just ask the delivery folks to rearm the claymores when they leave. No problem. -- John H For a great time, go here first... http://tinyurl.com/ygqxs5v |

Put a planter or something on your porch to hide the valuable packages behind so the neighborhood riff raff don't see it. |
