John H[_2_] April 12th 10 02:58 PM

Race for the Cure Challenge!!

The Komen Richmond group has issued a challenge to the teams participating this
year. The challenge starts today and ends on 19 April, four days after Income
Tax day and my birthday.

http://tinyurl.com/y5zg2bq

SO...for those of you who have been biding your time, this would be a great
opportunity to make that donation, and right here is the place to do it.

http://tinyurl.com/ygqxs5v

Right now I'm in for $600, and I know you can get more money out of me than
that.

Harry, you did very well last year...this year I'll double any donation you make
up to $250. Wow...you could get me for $500 all by yourself!

Come on folks. It's for a great cause!

Speaking about cancer research monies.....
Today is the 30th anniversary of the start of Terry Fox's run across Canada.
He got halfway on one leg before cancer returned and claimed him. It's up to
us to 'finish that run' for him.
Already 500 million dollars have been raised in his name.

The Komen Richmond group has issued a challenge to the teams
participating
this
year. The challenge starts today and ends on 19 April, four days after
Income
Tax day and my birthday.

SO...for those of you who have been biding your time, this would be a
great
opportunity to make that donation, and right here is the place to do
it.

http://tinyurl.com/ygqxs5v

Right now I'm in for $600, and I know you can get more money out of me
than
that.

Harry, you did very well last year...this year I'll double any
donation
you make
up to $250. Wow...you could get me for $500 all by yourself!

Come on folks. It's for a great cause!

Speaking about cancer research monies.....
Today is the 30th anniversary of the start of Terry Fox's run across
Canada.
He got halfway on one leg before cancer returned and claimed him. It's
up
to
us to 'finish that run' for him.
Already 500 million dollars have been raised in his name.
http://www.cbc.ca/canada/nova-scotia...ox-30-412.html

Looks like a worthwhile cause. Are you looking to match donations to
same?

I'm not on an Uncle Sam military pension like you Johnny.
I have to be frugal with my donations.

So that cause isn't worth a donation of any amount? Are you not getting a
pension from your government job? Actually, many folks not on government
pensions make donations to charities. Last year Harry donated, remember?

There you go Johnny... trying to makr lame points on the back of a good
charity.
Where did I say this cause isn't worth a donation of any amount?
I was referring to your suggestion that I match donations of others ... such
as you claim to do down there.

Don, I was talking only of *my* donation. I should have used the singular, I
suppose. Sorry for the confusion.

Well, in that case, you could simply make a small donation to the Komen
Foundation, and I will double your donation - up to a $100 donation.

How's that for a way to support a great cause?

As to my 'claim' to do so, it's easily verifiable. Once made the donation will
show up on the scrolling list, like all the rest of the donors.

A better way? If I was to donate directly to the cancer society, will
you match my donation as John will to his daughter's site?

The "better way," Loogy for Brains, is "not to have anything to do with"
Herring. Which I stated. Twice. Dumbfoch.

Wouldn't a "better way" be to help fund research into breast cancer?
And what better way to help than if someone matches your donation?
Again, if I donate using your "better way" will you match the donation?

The third time may be the charm...

The better way is to not have anything to do with herring.

Loogie's better way is twice as beneficial as your better way. So you
better get a grip on your egocentric twisted mind and find a way to fix
it so it works better. Better do it soon so that you can be better
equipped to deal with life on better terms.

The Komen Richmond group has issued a challenge to the teams
participating
this
year. The challenge starts today and ends on 19 April, four days after
Income
Tax day and my birthday.

http://tinyurl.com/y5zg2bq

I asked for the donation site and you haven't posted it.

Don, I was talking only of *my* donation. I should have used the
singular, I
suppose. Sorry for the confusion.

Well, in that case, you could simply make a small donation to the Komen
Foundation, and I will double your donation - up to a $100 donation.

How's that for a way to support a great cause?

As to my 'claim' to do so, it's easily verifiable. Once made the
donation will
show up on the scrolling list, like all the rest of the donors.

http://tinyurl.com/ygqxs5v

A better way is to donate directly to the cancer society, and thereby
not have anything to do with you directly or indirectly.

He's matching donations. That's better in my book.
