Point is, Richard, that you paint yourself (and have many believers on
the right as a result of doing so) as a non-partisan but your stripes
shine through in the most obvious way.

Believe me when I say you have no idea what my "stripes" are.
You have a lot to say for someone who is so ignorant of facts.

I expect crickets or a punt, so don't feel the need to respond. You
won't disappoint me. Cuz, like you, I really don't give a **** what
you think.

Absolutely incorrect. I do care. I just don't respond well to narrow
minded, ill tempered and mean spirited people who have no tolerance for
points of view other than their own. You seem to have joined the "them
against
us" mindset, regardless of political persuasion.

Discussing issues with people like yourself (who would likely be
characterized as far more of an extremist than I) is pointless.

Hope your business is doing well.

Eisboch

I don't think you addressed this point...

If a "conservative" would make a comment about a Hispanic, it'd be
along the lines of "illegal, shiftless, lazy, freeloader, scab, etc."

And you count Plume's comment about the Hispanic population being
family-oriented and warm as being equivalently racist.

Is something about the second statement derogatory or do you find
warm, family-oriented people to be offensive?

No one likes to have to scrape the poop of their shoe after they've
stepped in it.

Evidently, Richard is just going to ignore the main point of my
challenge to him in hopes that the smell will dissipate over time.

It'll be getting on the gas peddle and brake as he makes his way home
tonight. He'll have to leave his shoes outside.

He might just go buy another pair.

Business is getting better, thanks. It's been a rough road the past
18 mos. but corporate spending is on the rebound. For our fellow
citizens sake, I sure hope some jobs come with it.

So, you do give a ****? Then why have you, on so many quotable
occasions, added the line about not giving a ****?

Was that just ball-rattling bravado?

Why are you getting all touchy feely with Richard?
Talk business, and leave the sociology to Rush and others who know about
that stuff.

Why would saying that Catholic, family oriented Hispanics are "mostly a
warm, friendly people who care about family and community" ever be
construed as racist?
Maybe edging toward paternalistic, but that's all.

It isn't because a liberal said it. If a conservative said something
similar, he/she would be
ostracized for stereotyping.

True.

Because, if that same statement was made about the the race that usually
hollers out racist, they would holler out racist.
Was mention made of Catholics? I must have missed it.

It does, and is bull****. Not all California spanish are upstanding
friendly christians. If they disagree with out sediments, let them
explain these:

* 18th Street gang
* 38th Street gang
* 41st street gang
* Mexican Mafia
* Mara Salvatrucha
* Nuestra Familia
* The Avenues gang
* Norteños
* Sureños
