The Olympics were interesting sometimes when the competitors were
amateurs. Now that the pros have taken over and turned the games into
play for pay...b-o-r-i-n-g.

Agreed. I never did like the idea of pros joining in, but not sure it
has hurt either. Sort of hurts for the non-pros but will admit the best
is the best, be they pro or not. And why should a talented skater or
skier get some endorsements or whatever.

Well, in many cases we were just coming up to speed with the other countries
(cough USSR and former eastern block nations) who were raising "pro" athletes
but just calling them something else. When you really do the math, are we
winning more medals than we did back then? I didn't see us running away with
the Olympics, we just beat other countries by a medal or two, at least among
the top few...

It's not just talent that takes an athlete "pro" here in the US although it
probably is a major requirement. There will always be amateurs among the
population that might have more talent than any given pro, one on one... just
never made it pro (yet?) for whatever reason.

My point is with the exception of a few sports, the US reclassifying so our
paid athletes could compete was not earth shattering when it comes to medals,
in my opinion. I don't follow Olympics too closely though...

I always thought Russia was funny this way. A major in the army and all
they did was play hockey. Agreed, they were in fact pros.

But hockey is now back where it belongs, North America.

I have an idea, if you get a medal, vote for them. Any one of them (US

I can see you are a functionally illiterate Liberal-Dimwitt. Look it
up, Tea Party is _not_ related to teabaggers.

Bet you believe in Obama/Democrate-congress policy of "Borrow on your
grandchild's future for selfish dysfunctional greedy *******s today"
principles. Makes you just a greedy selfish bitter corrupted *******
not to see it.

For you liberal twits have to be stupid to support a jack ass president
like Obama which is selling out American values that made the USA the
place to be.

And at no time in history has it been possible to debt-spend out of
debt. I see Greece and Iceland like economic conditions for America if
enough of you leftists don't wake up an smell the coffee.

Think what you want, some of you Liberal-Dimwitts are hopeless.

You insist on listening to Obama's lips, and not how he walks the walk.
I hear democrat congress just raised Fed authorized debt to $14.5
trillion to prevent the administration going into default.

But you choose to ignore it as it isn't what you want to see. Well,
reality sucks but no escaping it you leftist toad. Hope you are ready.

And you're obviously queer, right?

Unless he's still in his 20's or 30's, in which case he can be
forgiven for lack of wisdom. If he's beyond that, he's as stupid and
regressed as he exhibits regularly in rec.boats.

Even a Neanderthal would tire of watching pole dancing by the time
they're in their 40's, apart from the denser Neanderthals.

Speak for yourself. To me, I have never lost the appeal of a fine
lady...didn't mater if I was 10, 20, 30 , 40, 50 ...

Well, someone has to break the ice.... ;)

That concludes the game... Canada in overtime.

HeeeeeHaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!

Tip one to ya'... At least you won a gold in a "sport"!

Watching paint dry can be a sport. Watching the grass grow can be a
sport.

Next we get into athletic events. And as much as I hate to say it all
that ice dancing crap is an athletic event.

Wait until they introduce "Pole dancing"

Bet every male in the country that isn't queer will watch it too. I
would.

Fine ladies typically aren't employed as pole dancers. Well, maybe in
your experience they are, eh?

It's not a question of admiring women, it's the position in which you
admire them...

You're stuck in the juvenile approach.

The operative word here is "fine." Anyone who refers to a lady as
"fine" is either living in the 70's or living in a trailer park, maybe
both.
