Oh Goody!
More Men's Curling on the Olympics tonight. Can't wait. And later there's
something even better - Women's Curling. Why are there two separate types? Don't the rocks weigh the same? Speed is definitely not an issue, so strength shouldn't matter. Maybe it all comes down to who can operate the broom with more skill, in which case the women might win. Sure is a nice sport to watch. Gives one plenty of reading time. -- Annoy a Liberal...practice personal responsibility! John H |

John H I think the brooms melt the ice so the rock will slow down, pull to one side or the other, or increase/decrease spin. I've about used up all my taping time. Now I'll have to watch it live, with commercials, for a couple days. Maybe we could get together, put all our tapes on a DVD, and sell the Olympics Curling 2010 DVD. We'd get rick quick, I'm sure. Maybe we'd have to give NBC a cut, but probably not much. Just think. All 153 hours of curling on one DVD. Wow. |

Hell, I almost passed out on the treadmill. Now they just wanted my heart rate up to 131. It took a little while, which is a good thing, but I never felt stressed. Hell, it felt about like a long, moderately uphill, par 5. They squirted me with some radioactive stuff so they could get before and after pictures of blood flow. Most stressful was the worry about the stress test during the week before same. Oh, and no coffee for 24 hours prior. That was a bitch. -- John H "A government policy to rob Peter to pay Paul can be assured of the support of Paul." -- George Bernard Shaw |

I thought they did that so you could be tracked as you chased some little white ball around in the rough... woods, across the interstate, more woods, through small housing developments...
