attitude towards paying for real repairs done by a competent mechanic is
so overwhelmingly negative...

....that you are taking your life in your hands by going out on their
boats with them...if you happen to get the "opportunity."

I'm not referring to those boaters whose good quality maintenance and
repair skills are obvious.
