Skipper's Dream Boat - Serious Long Range Cruiser Available

Those of you who have been on rec.boats for a while may remember
Harry's nemesis, "Skipper". The Skookum 53 is one of the boats that
Skipper lusted after from the bridge of his arm chair sailer in Derby,
Kansas.

This boat is the real thing. I met the former owner several times
and he and his wife took great care of it, and did some really serious
cruising, including several trips to Trinidad. It has a fuel range
of about 5,000 nautical miles and is hell for stout. The previous
owner before that went around the Horn twice with it, and cruised it
over 50,000 NM.

Interesting lines, but that old 53-footer has a plastic hull and draws
nearly 8' of water. If I were going to buy a slow boat to see the world,
I'd want a steel hull that drew a lot less water.

Yup. It's funny how he can completely ignore those things now that
google and the internet have really torn his fantasy life away from
him.. Must have been quite a story teller as a kid, maybe that's why
everybody hated him so much??

True, probably made him the low life he is today! Did you see where
the scumbag was saying really nasty **** about someone's sister who
had died of cancer? THAT is how low he can go. And to think he tries
SO hard to get people here to think he's cultured and refined!

Is that hospital aware of your claim of owning two houses? Maybe they
can put a lien on one of them and get a bit of the bill paid?

Maybe the IRS would like to know, as well. Knowing how Ingerfool is,
perhaps there's back taxes owing......
