show that I was polite, but simply refused questions that had nothing
to do with national security. Port authority police eventually came --
they were professionals -- and rescued me from the border bullies."

Harassment? I think it is - Yon has been a beacon of truth about the
wars in Iraq and Afghanistan since May of 2003. One of the most
respected and prolific of embed correspondents since Ernie Pyle.

And since when does an American with a valid passport have to disclose
"income" prior to or after traveling? Obviously Janet "The System
Worked" Neopolitano and the President wanted to harass and embarrass
Yon - show him who's boss for his reporting the truth.

Seems to me that worrying about foreigners with exploding underwear is
more important than verifying American's income.

Having crossed the Border at Detroit for the last 26 years, I'd say
the Border Guard was either a washed-out Jarhead that couldn't find a

are driving has the GST paid up.
