I was getting ready to go to bed last night and I saw a fire
department vehicle drive by, stopping next to the house by the boat
basin. I went out to see what was going on and they said there were a
couple of guys in kayaks lost in the river. I asked if they wanted to
go look for them and we went in my boat.

Nobody else was willing to try to get a boat out across that flat. The
CG was sitting out in the channel about 2 miles away. Sissies!
They had at least 12-14" of water if they knew where the deep spots
were., I got out there with 3 firemen, bags of rescue stuff, 2 kayaks
and 2 kayakers on board. What's the matter with those guys? ;-)
