Actually, Harry lives in the "crab capitol" of the universe. I'd rather eat the local crabs (last time up that way, we ate at Captain Billy's, which isn't the best....) from the Potomac region than the AK stuff....... King crab is rather bland stuff. Dungeoness and Stone are the best, then snow, followed in distant fourth by blue crabs. |

We ate at a vietnamese/chinese seafood family restaurant a few weeks ago in San Franciso that was just terrific. Had dungeness...best I've ever had. If you're ever out there, it's the Kim Thanh restaurant on Geary Street. Dungeness crab "vietnamese" style. |

Touristy at best. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- That's an understatement. The locals don't eat there, so there's plenty of room for the tourists. ;-) Besides, what the hell is vietnamese style crab? Dungeness served/prepared with anything other than butter and/or lemon is a crime! I might let cocktail sauce slide, but it's close to the line. --Mike |
