The whole idea that Afghanistan is "the good war" ignores the fact
that we have no real goal and no real strategy.


Last I understood, we were trying to secure the areas between
Afghanistan and Pakistan. Other than nation building, I'm not aware
of our objectives there and I'm a citizen who pays attention to the
news. I'm not sure Obama has made any sense of this yet either.

My hope is that he decides to wind military operations down and use
diplomatic efforts and aid for schools and hospitals.
