Don't people who do stuff like that eventually get some body part[s]
chewed off?

Let's see. Someone comes VERY close to death, and that's "cool". Someone
launches a person three feet with an air bag that's specifically
designed to not hurt someone and that's just terrible????

Oh come on dude - you should be able to figure that out.

One didn't know what was going to happen and was unprepared for the
results, the other was fully aware of the dangers, prepared for them
properly and accepted them.

Big difference in cause and effect too.

Also, airbags aren't designed to come in contact with people during the
explosive phase. Working correctly they should be deflating already when the
person comes in contact with it.

Safety issues aside (as with all practical jokes), it was a darned
funny video to watch.
