It must be nice to be totally happy with being ignorant of foreign customs, where you can criticize Obama for not being as ignorant as you are. Typical, unfortunately. Doesn't matter. Not ONE of them said a damned thing when Bush did his usual foreign customs screw ups. I recall GWB kissing and walking hand-in-hand with a Saudi royal. Thought that was a pretty oily scene. Doubt Obama kissed the Jap. But who knows what these pols do in private? --Vic Some of them tap their feet in men's rooms... -- If you are flajim, herring, loogy, GC boater, johnson, topbassdog, rob, or one of a half dozen others, you're wasting your time by trying to *communicate* with me through rec.boats, because, well, you are among the permanent members of my dumbfoch dumpster. As always, have a nice, simple-minded day. |

Perhaps you can offer proof otherwise. Until you do, I'm calling BS on you. Not really sure how Bush's gaffes somehow excuses totally inappropriate behavior by "The One". That's called the 'Bush Rationale'. If Bush did something wrong, then it's OK and accepted for 'Bama to do the same or worse. -- John H |

If you are going to bow to one monarch shouldn't you bow to all of them? So, by that logic, Obama should be kissing all the world leaders? Even Bush didn't do that. Personally, even if he did bow, it's very minor thing. It distracts from the real issues of healthcare, the two wars, etc., but it's a useful tool for the right, just as Bush's handholding and kissing was for the left. -- Nom=de=Plume |

I'm not sure but isn't it the tradition at the opening ceremonies that the American flag is not lowered when passing the host leader? I wonder if obama will order the flag lowered? Eddie |

His wife snaps her fingers and he immediately heals and apologizes for whatever he might have done. If she's not happy with him, he immediately goes to the closet and drags the vacuum out. If she's not happy when he's done vacuuming, he washes the dishes, dries 'em and puts 'em away. I can't tell you what's next, she's sworn me to secrecy. |
