Deja vu all over again
I seen this before, small hurricane right before Thanksgiving hits the
FL Big Bend Coast raising hell, washing all the boats ashore and toppling so many trees we did not have power for two weeks That was Hurricane Kate in 1985 (or was it 84?). Had turkey fried on a coleman stove for thanksgiving along with any other meat in the freezer. |

If Ida makes hurricane status, it will probably be for less than 12 to 18 hours dropping back to Tropical Storm status. It's probably going to be absorbed by a frontal boundry and die off so you probably won't even see winds higher than 20/25 Mph - if that. |

Wind is gusting about 30. http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/maps/Florida.shtml 42039 up closer to you only shows 76.6F water so I doubt you will see much of a storm. The water is too cold. Only a Floridian would say 76 degrees is cold water. |
