Um...no?

It was last held by three different Democrats from January 3, 1979
through January 3, 1993.

How does she keep getting elected?

Oh wait - San Francisco - that explains everything.

I'll have you know, that I do *NOT* live in San Francisco. I live in
San
Jose. The only time I ever go up there is when we have out of town
guests, and they insist on a visit.

Actually SF is nicer than SJ to visit. And I have worked in both.

SF is an amazing place. If I didn't work at home in the forest, I'd move
there over any other city.

It's one of my favorite cities, too.- Hide quoted text -

I lived there. Nice place to visit, not so great to live.

Why? What didn't you like about it? There are great restaurants everywhere.
There are so many that even great ones fail all the time. There's culture
like crazy. There's amazing diversity. It's a physically beautiful city.
Transportation is a snap without a car. There are too many street people,
but some of them have a unique outlook. There's crime for sure. There are
earthquakes. You can get to the mountains in a few hours and you can swim in
the ocean on short notice.

The city itself it filthy, crime, and the ocean water is so cold that
you need a wetsuit. Outside of the city, it's still city everywhere. A
lot of the inhabitants are narcissistic. I've seen people live in gang
riddled apartment neighborhoods so that they could be seen driving a
nice car. Even in the suburbs, if you have a back yard big enough to
own a mower, it's considered huge! On weekends you can't hardly get TO
the mountains, or get back home because everybody is doing the same
things. Now a plug, please visit these fine places, one is in SF
proper, the other in Walnut Creek. I have reasons for you to want to
go there and spend your money!!!

Good things about the area? Plenty! Very scenic, the people that
aren't full of themselves are down to earth and very nice. The weather
is good, a lot of really cool history, the nightlife, and I really
enjoy getting off of the beaten path where you'll find little bars and
eateries that are fantastic. Good public transportation, and lots of
micro breweries. I really enjoy walking around SF, and in the burbs
there's lots of easy to reach hiking areas with incredible views.

Reply: It's nothing worse than other big cities. Sure thing though about
property. Not much room, not much lawn/garden area.
