You guys even have the WORST RADIO PLAY-BY-PLAY team in all of baseball. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HdW-vrJSCS4 And of course who could forget this flub from John "THE YANKEES WIN" Sterling? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dlg9IwBaUfg A-Bomb - Matsui? BBBAAAWWWAAHHHHAAAA!!!!!!! However, because I'm a charitable kind of guy, I'll amend my earlier statement. If Al Qaida owned the other team and they had Taliban for players and it was managed by Kim Jon Il with Chavez as bench coach I'd still wouldn't root for the Yankees. Yankees suck. Well with certain exceptions - Jeter, Posada - those guys are alright. The rest of them suck. I rooted for the Yankees as a kid. As there were no west coast teams then, and a couple of locals were very good with the Yankees. Dimaggio was from about 10 miles from my home and Casey Stengal managed the best minor league team in history. The Oakland Oaks, which I got to go see with dad a lot of times. Later I was a Giants fan until the A's moved near me. Then the Yankees became the hated Yankees. |

Can't argue with that but how can you overlook Mariano Rivera? He is one cool customer when the chips are down. Basically he takes away the 9th inning for opposing teams. Oh my gosh -that's true. Most Red Sox fans are forever grateful for Mariano handing the Red Sox thier first Series championship in '86 years. :) |

Around here is somebody cuts you off on the highway, you can bet they are on the cell phone with a NY sticker on the back window... Assholes! Like I told my kids, it's easy to be a Yankees fan, what's the point? It's tough to support a team that has to play to win snerk instead of just buying the championships... This is sort of a Yankees commercial, but it's pretty funny. If I was any good at post production, I'd change it, but anyway: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pY0mL...eature=related --Mike |
