Hi all. After finding out what I needed for my stern drives to run
when out of water, (on this group) I found another problem. On the port stern drive just aft (about 3 inches) of the water inlet port I discovered a small hole, about the size of a quarter. Because it is aluminum will there be a problem sealing that hole? Or should I leave it alone since it may work like an additional inlet port? Problem would be is that I'd have to figure out how to "ear muff" it. Or is the drive gone and need to replace it? And just what is that part of the drive called? I've looked online for a nomenclature of the Merc I/O but came out with neg. results. Does "skeg" ring a bell? Thanks all Eddie |
