They need a lot of water to cool a nuke plant too.
I have said many times, we will run out of water long before we run
out of oil.
The west isn't the only place with water problems.
The central plains of the US is running out of water.
Most of the water they pull out of the Ogallala Aquifer is really
"fossil water" that took thousands of years to accumulate there and is
not being replenished. When it's gone, it's gone.

Think salt water.
