Yo Thunder!
Thanks again for the great eyes. I had the tire remounted today. They
still had the sale in the computer, so they charged me only for the new weights needed for balancing. Pretty respectable, for a Suzuki/Yamaha dealer. -- John H |

Well, the damn tire's been on the bike for about two years. A friend told me the Suzuki drive shaft, on the bike so equipped, was on the left side of the bike. The Guzzi's is on the right. If the original mechanic looked at the brake and gears to make his determination, then I could see the confusion. They didn't have Guzzi manuals as they did no Guzzi service. (Which was probably why they sold Guzzis for only a year or so.) Of course, the mechanic could have just looked at the previous tire. But then again, maybe he was *real* bright and thought that one was mounted backwards. Bottom line - I should have checked. I thought ten bucks was a pretty good deal, as I had no reciept or anything. -- John H |

Thunder, by looking at the picture of the rear of my bike, noticed that the tire was mounted incorrectly. I had it remounted, after removing the wheel, 'cause the Suzuki place won't take the rear wheel off a Guzzi. Don't ask me why, they just won't touch them. -- John H |

Unfortunately, John ran into the same kid that used to work at Walmart, remember the one who set up Harry's bicycle for him? Now he works at a motorcycle shop mounting tires...;) You sure have a strange way of expressing your grief. BTW, now that your dad is dead, do you plan to get a real job? -- Birther-Deather-Tenther-Teabagger: Idiots All |
