Anyone watch the 2009 season of Whale Wars? What'd you think?
My wife always asks why I watch that show (she hates it). I tell that it shows everything not to do as a boater. You never know what Paul Watson might do next. Seems to me that he endangers the crew on a regular basis. Remember the episode where they got caught in the ice pack, and two crew are sent below to watch the hull flexing? The cameraman even bailed on that one. Yikes. The Japanese got far more aggressive this season, and had them running scared at times. Bumping the harpoon ship with the Steve Irwin was amazing. I wonder if the Dutch will cut them loose since the ship is Dutch registered. Johnson |

I'm suprised the Japanese havent run a harpoon though the inflatable. Or through the pilot house on the bridge. |

Johnson I really like it... mostly because those guys remind me of the days of Greenpeace dodging salvos on their zodiacs. Whatever your view, they've got guts. That ship is not built for ice. The sonic weapons seemed like a dud, but who knows. -- Nom=de=Plume |

Peter Brown is a sarcastic narcissist who panics when the **** hits the fan. Peter Hammarstedt needs a good spanking and sent home to get a job. Same with his girl friend. Look, they have a point - the Japanese are invading a conservation sanctuary to hunt whales - the international commuity wants nothing to do with confronting them and won't. So they will. Chucking bottles of rancid butter oil and cellulose fiber at them is meaningless - as are their attempts to foul props (which is very dangerous for all concerned) and it's pretty apparent that the all volunteer crews, while dedicated to a cause, aren't sailors capable of working with a converted trawler in a dangerous situation. |

I've never even seen the program. 2. Back again, eh? :) -- Birther-Deather-Tenther-Teabagger: Idiots All |
