I don't want to hear about health care. I want to hear about jobs. I don't
want Barry talking to my kids about staying in school when he needs to be
talking to the lazy assed teachers.

Ah, it's all the teachers fault. Forget the parents, the economy. No, it's
the president's fault. I get it.

I'm sorry if you're unemployed. That's a bummer.

Seriously doubt your kids are school aged.

My kids are and I want them to hear from our President about the
importance of education and sticking with it. It's good when others
reinforce the message the kids get at home.

I want them to be able to afford health insurance when it becomes
their responsibility to provide for themselves and their families.

I'd like him to help solve the problem of lazy assed teachers being
protected from being fired. But it's certainly not my first priority,
nor perhaps in my top 10.

You're among the silly bitches who can't stand that a Democrat holds
the highest office, especially a black Democrat.

I'm retired AND I work. When I do work, I charge from $40 to $100 an hour.
Or more. I do enjoy an income stream from investments, too. I deal in
collectables. I go to bed when I want, and get up when I want. If I want
something, I just go pay cash, or use a credit card, and pay it off every
month. My credit score is higher than the scale (860) because somehow they
have bonus points. I fish and golf at will. I own properties in three
states. I travel outside the US at least twice a year. I have two RCI
condos, one in Kauai, the other in Mazatlan. I travel outside my state at
least once a month.

It must suck to be me.

I made the assumption, erroneously clearly, since you seemed so upset about
the situation. Don't get me wrong. I'm upset too. The rate of unemployment
is still way to high, but it's moving in the right direction, which is a
good thing. My reading is that it'll turn around in mid-2010.

I'm not upset about the situation. I'm really ****ed off. All these
Washington, Wall Street, and corporate types making millions by raping the
common people, and doing it with disdain and disrespect. $90 million to
someone who crashed Freddie and Fannie. Plus all the tens of millions to
their cohorts. And lot of people left holding devalued real estate, or
worse, losing their houses. But not Barney Frank who once operated a male
prostitute ring out of his Washington house.

We need to do something, and capitalistic, not socialistic. The only bright
spot on the horizon is for there to be some form of Congressional
housekeeping in 2010, but that would take a year to really trickle down.
And by then, if Obama gets this package passed, we will be in over our
heads.

If he would only work on jobs programs with the earnest he spends on the
healthcare issue. If we have employed people, they will either get health
care, or be able to afford to purchase it. The only reason we would need
federal health care is if everyone is unemployed, and screaming for it. But
then, they will be limited to what they get, getting only gruel when they
think they will be getting balanced meals. Yet, the people who administer
the program will be cruising along in their $80k a year jobs, with a
SEPARATE Platinum Health Plan that will cover everything associated with the
human body including addadicktome operations. For, after all, they are
above the common commoner.

I'm not sure what Barney Frank's roommate's illegal activity has to do with
the financial crisis. Pushing it just a bit, at least he was being a

I don't completely disagree. The current situation is pretty bad, but it has
the potential and the direction currently of getting better.

We need a more social view and we need to use capitalism to get there. Gov't
regulation does work but imperfectly. We need it, however, to regulate raw
capitalism which also doesn't work.

If he would only work on jobs programs with the earnest he spends on the
healthcare issue. If we have employed people, they will either get health
care, or be able to afford to purchase it. The only reason we would need
federal health care is if everyone is unemployed, and screaming for it.
But

The rate of unemployment is slowing. If you don't believe it, look it up. No
one is talking about the gov't running healthcare, and continually saying it
doesn't make it true. Additionally, there's a base of people who will never
be employed unfortunately. We can't just abandon them to walk the streets.
There are something like 60,000 homeless people in Los Angeles alone...
that's horrible and for a civilized country unbelievable. Our return on our
healthcare investment in this country is really bad, something like 30th in
the world, yet we spend way, way more than any other country.
