Any message from the president is no more relevant than any message from anybody else and a message from an educational authority might be acceptable if it was apolitical. There does not seem to be any purpose of Oboma's message other than politics. As far as Bush throwing people in prison without charge, we discussed that in a previous thread, it simply did not happen even to Padilla, he was charged with "being an enemy combatant" but wf3h keeps changing his mind about what he means so the discussion went nowhere. The questionable provisions of the Patriot act that I DID protest were later stricken. |

A speech focused on education, made by the President of the United States, should not be heard by students? I guess just students who align themselves with the Democratic Party. Obama is aparently not the president of Republicans. It's time we revived the idea of splitting the country into the USA and Jesusland. Mississippi would be an ideal location for Jesusland's seat of power. |

I have requested that my child's school not take part in this in any way. I have asked that if they do to please provide equal time for a rebuttal and suggested that not allowing for a rebuttal may have legal consequences. You are ****ing insane. |

Steve Is he going to read "My Pet Goat"? If so, I'm pulling my kid that day! No kidding! Get it? Bwaaahaaaahaaahaaa!! If he does, I'll bet he reads it right side up. But first he'd have to check it out of the Bush library. |

Since when was it considered offensive to be addressed by the country's president? I consider it an honor, especially if he has a positive message about education and schools. That tin hat has obviously let some toxic rays through to your brain. |

In the last few weeks, I have concluded that the only explanation for Froggy is that he is insane. This differentiates him from john herring, who is a racist; lu powell, who is retarded; justwait, who is both stupid and ignorant; BAR, who is uneducated and spiteful about it, and DannyBoy Krueger, who is no more valuable to society than a lump of dog**** you'd find on the sidewalk. |

You want a rebuttal to someone urging kids to take responsibility, work hard, and achieve? You really are a cracker. What is it with these Florida characters? That hot sun must boil away any common sense thay might have had. It should be a law...they should have to take at least a month vacation in the north each year...for the good of the kids. |

Reading for educational purposes, you know. We shall only know what he will say after he says it. I hope he does a decent job with the teleprompters, and the kids don't start saying uh and er after every other word. Perhaps I was premature in thinking that he will concentrate only on education, and that there will be no political expressions, either stated or subliminal. Steve |
