USCG cert? (it seems it is).

any hints to ensure no unpleasantness?

The tank you refer to that's attached to the head is for deodorizer.
Not designed for anything else...

Oh, wait. *Did you say 3 gallons? *Tollycraft typically used a head
that comes with a deodorizer tank but it wasn't 3 gallons.

It was a small tank, a gallon at most, housed inside the head's lower

actually this was a porta-potti looking toilet that has a 3 gallon
tank. you put water in the tank along with deodorizer. when you hit
the 'flush' button, the stuff in the tank washes out the toilet and
the material is contained in the 3 gallon tank until it's emptied.
