| My daughter is in collegiate sports, why should she thank either

| Without Democrat Patsy Mink, who wrote the legislation that became Title
| IX, and without Ted Kennedy, who protected Title IX and advocated for it
| throughout his career, women's athletics at universities would be where
| they were 40 years ago...an underfunded afterthought. Without Title IX,
| there would be virtually no athletic assistance for women attending college.
|
|My daughters school doesn't receive federal assistance, and if they do
|it's very minimal.
|
|My daughter receives no federal assistance because the wife and I make
|too much money, so we pay the bills.
Title IX is not about money.... it is about discrimination based on
sex. Think about men's athletics vs. women's athletics, when you were
in school.... any difference in funding from the school?
Now, the hammer is that if the school receives Federal Assistance, the
school can't treat the girls that way.
I guess, if you want to create a school and pay your own way, you can
be as discriminatory as you wish....

It does?

Yeah, it does.

Really?

Huh, I must be missing something.

But that's ok.

I think Liberty U teaches that science supports the concept of
intelligent design.

As Ben Stein, speaking on the theory of evolution, once said, "It
would be the approximate equivalent of a tornado passing over a junk
yard and leaving a fully finished 777 jetliner in an airport right
next to it."

Harry can't discuss, but he *can* find reason to ridicule in any
comment made by any person. He seems especially ready to jump on any
comment made about one's kids, grandkids, nephews, or nieces.

I wonder why? It sure as hell doesn't have to do with a strong desire
on his part to stay 'on topic'!

There's no reputable science that supports that notion.

Ben Stein knows nothing about which he speaks, and assuming this is his
quote, it makes no sense at all, and it has nothing to do with evolution,
which is a proven and provable fact.

So, basically you're saying that you're unwilling to examine your deeply
held beliefs, even when presented with arguments and facts that are in
opposition?

He's a bloody fool.

Why anyone would set him out as an expert on the origins of the
universe or life is beyond my comprehension.
