IX, and without Ted Kennedy, who protected Title IX and advocated for it
throughout his career, women's athletics at universities would be where
they were 40 years ago...an underfunded afterthought. Without Title IX,
there would be virtually no athletic assistance for women attending college.

My daughters school doesn't receive federal assistance, and if they do
it's very minimal.

My daughter receives no federal assistance because the wife and I make
too much money, so we pay the bills.


And without Title IX, the girls' volleyball team would still be an
afterthought...a gym class kind of operation.
