Mid-90's ROTAX engines...
 
Anybody familiar with these marine engines? Are they computer
controlled?

Cant tell you. All I CAN tell you, is they're junk. After about 8
years, the engines are toast. The new Rotax (Sea-Doo ) commercial
states " Built for a decade".... WTF? This means that after 10 years,
they're toast.
They are not built to last.

200 hours a yeaar times ten is two thousand hours?
Just whaat is your expectation for a mill that runs near full power
much of the time.

I remember hearing somewhere, perhaps on an experimental aircraft
site, that 500 to 600 hundred hours is more typical. They put out a
lot of power for a small, lightweight engine - not conducive to
longevity however.
