The "pilot" of this boat was doing 180 miles an hour about
a half a second before this was taken. Not a scratch on him.
The next weekend the boat was back together and racing on
Lake Washington in Seattle.

Lake Washington. They place where Chuck Muncey sank the first CG boat since
the War of 1812. A coworker of mine in the early 1960's, next door neighbor
drove Unlimiteds. He said it was like driving a bus, but paid a lot better
than racing the small hydros.

That would be Bill Muncey. When I was a kid (and during the off season)
I used to frequent a convenience store that he owned and operated.
I'd go in and buy candy from him and he'd tell me the stories behind
all of the trophy's lined up all the way around the entire store.
