Boating in an oldsmobile
Ted Kennedy being such an able yachtsman evidently intentionally tried
to go boating in his oldsmobile at Chappaquidick. The Grand Jury stated that when he turned on the the road with the bridge he did so intentionally and it was not the way to the ferry landing...............He then sped up to 20 mph, far too fast for that narrow bridge that leaves the shore at an angle and has no guardrails. Prior to the accident, a local law enforcement guy had noticed the Kennedy car stopped on a side road but when he approached, the car took off. According to the medical examiner, Kopechne's body had blood in her mouth and face and her clothes were bloody, kinda odd for drowning. Further, he said that he thought SHE HAD LIVED FOR TWO HOURS in the air bubble before succumbing. Meanwhile, Kennedy made no attempt to get help in spite of walking past several houses including at least one whose owner swore her outside lights were on. He walked slowly back to the house with the part and got a friend and they tried to get to Kopechne and the friend urged Kennedy to alert authorities and Kennedy said he would do so. Instead, he waited till next morning when he could be sure she was dead before alerting authorities. The medical examiner requested an autopsy due to the blood he had seen but the request was turned down.............weird. In other words, actual death by drowning was NEVER CONFIRMED. Kennedy later paid $90,000 to Kopechne's family although there was never a judgement against him, a bribe to silence them I'd say. That was a lot of money in those days. Regardless of whether or not Kopechne drowned or died in "some other manner", his failure to alert authorities is certainly murder but we all know, liberal power and money trumps justice. |

Frankly, I don't give a **** about your attempts to denigrate Teddy's memory. People will recall him fondly long after the land crabs take care of your remains, and everyone who remembers you will say, "Thank goodness the crazy old coot is dead." |
