Yeah, John. I find out that I dont' have to have the best and latest
stuff on the market of anything. I have a cousin who does though, and
he has credit cards maxed to the point of being turned in to
collection on a regular basis. the double bad part is he has nothing
to show for it.

pretty irresponsible.

************************************************** **

Those companies who keep shoving credit cards in peoples faces are
irresponsible alos.
I was always getting offers from three or four companies.....trying to
convince me to take their card.

Those CC companies are not irresponsible for sending out CC apps. *They may
be irresponsible if they let a deadbeat have a card. *But it is 100%
irresponsibility by a person overusing a CC card. *Buying stuff they can not
afford.

Visa has me on a $2000.00 limit. I've paid on time, never had a
penalty and they said they were boosting my limit to $5000.00

I really don't like that.

just knowing that it could be easy to really dip into it isn't a good
thought of mine.

If you want an even higher limit, try this: Run your balance up
close to the limit a couple of times and immediately pay your entire
balance due each time you're almost there.

Mine is a lot higher. When #1 daughter was getting married, I called up and
asked for a higher limit. They said OK, and raised it about $10k more.
They have since raised it a couple more times. But I never run a balance,
and like the airline miles. So I charge a lot of stuff and always payoff
the balance. Since I have paid for 2 college educations and a couple of
weddings, I have a huge mileage balance. Just hard to get seats going where
I want to go. Business to Tahiti, NZ, OZ an back to SFO. since it is
partner airlines not as many seats available.

I have a $70K limit on one card and have nearly maxed it out at times.
They are business expenses so it is paid in full without any interest.
The resulting airline miles are great for all kinds of travel and gifts!

I don't take them because I don't need them.
I have two now...since I was ittitated by the Citi Group people and have a
zero balance on both.

So you're exercising some personal responsibility. Good for you. If
everyone did the same all those problems you blame on the corporations
wouldn't exist.
