A Day in the Life of a God Fearing Republican
Joe gets up in the morning facing the reality that he must trudge off to another hopeless day at a mundane job with no hope of pursuing any personal ambition with his employer since he is an involuntary member of the union that diligently guards against his ambition. He has liberals to thank for the knowledge that at least that he has a job waiting for him every day...maybe, and that he can blithely tend to his work as a member of the collective. He can thank the union gods that he is the quintessential nowhere man. Joe can thank liberals for closely monitoring how he thinks about others and for facing the prospect that he could be personally brought up on charges if he were to express sentiments in public that were deemed to be intolerant. He can thank liberals for helping to shape and mold his behavior through the use of these legislated behavioral controls. Joe can thank liberals that he does not have to bear the responsibility of ownership of personal property. Joe has the priviliged use ofany property in his active control, and this at his discretion for the most part, until such time as the state requires his personal property for its own purposes. When the state decides to expropriate the property in Joe's control, Joe does not have to concern himself with legal recourse to protect any percieved personal right to that property, as any legal recourse has been quashed by the highest of federal courts. Joe can thank liberals that the elementary education professionals that dedicate their time to instruct his children while he and his wife are toiling under the beneficence of the union are also united in solidarity under the auspices of their own union. As unions tend to favor collectivism and the collective interest, Joe can rest assured that his children will enjoy a political indoctrination in state schools, where the union is entrenched, that will help to reinforce, however sutble, the collective ambition of the union. In time his children will be at an age where they can elect to vote, and do so with the pubescent prejudices instilled in them by a liberal education, with a full appreciation for collectivism and socialism. Joe can thank liberals that his children are eligible for welfare assistance programs for the young, programs that help provide vital, healty food stuffs and health care. For Joe this state assistance is welcome as it helps to offset the personal property that is taken from Joe every week in the form of state and federal taxes (and union dues). Since Joe and his wife had elected to enroll their children in these programs, the state has a personal investment in Joe's children, an investment using what had been property in Joe's personal care. As the program agencies are then surrogates for Joe's children, the agencies can hold Joe responsible for how Joe raises his children. If one of Joe's children should develop slowly (as some children are prone to do), the state can take Joe and his wife to task for the child's improper development. Further, the state can take it upon itself to 'aid' in the child's 'arrested' development to help the child meet the standard for the age group. In extreme cases, the state holds the right to remove the child from Joe's care, relieving him of the privilege of raising the child. Joe and his wife can take heart in the fact that the liberal state is watching (out for) his family and children. Joe can thank liberals for closely monitoring how he thinks about others and for facing the prospect that he could be personally brought up on charges if he were to express sentiments in public that were deemed to be intolerant. *He can thank liberals for helping to shape and mold his behavior through the use of these legislated behavioral controls. his friend, the republican, dons his KKK hood and, with his klan friends, attacks a local black community to ensure they 'stay in their place' and don't try to 'take' white people's jobs... Joe can thank liberals that he does not have to bear the responsibility of ownership of personal property. his friend is used to getting his phone tapped, courtesy of the GOP inspired patriot act...he's used to seeing the black vans pull up and take away people who aren't of the 'right' religion or political persuasion... Joe can thank liberals that the elementary education professionals that dedicate their time to instruct his children while he and his wife are toiling under the beneficence of the union are also united in solidarity under the auspices of their own union. his GOP friend has to start and end each day in state sponsored prayer at the work place...courtesy of the fundamentalist christians in the GOP. those who don't pray are sent to collectivist re-education centers where they are beaten until they confess their love of jesus. Joe can thank liberals that his children are eligible for welfare assistance programs for the young, programs that help provide vital, healty food stuffs and health care. *For Joe this state assistance is welcome as it helps to offset the personal property that is taken from Joe every week in the form of state and federal taxes (and union dues). * and his GOP friend has his 401K taken from him so that those who run goldman, sachs, bear stearns and other hedge funds dont lose any money in the downturn. they were rich when it started and they've insured, courtesy of reagan and bush, that no messy regulations are in place to prevent them from raiding middle class bank accounts |
