BoatUS marine insurance case files show that 44% of sterndrive boats
that sunk at the dock had a leak in the bellows. Worse, leaking bellows were the cause of 20% of sinkings when the boat was underway. Most manufacturers urge bellows replacement every five to six years. If you have muskrats around, be careful! -- John H All decisions, even those made by liberals, are the result of binary thinking. |

Muskrats and beavers sunk more than one boat over at East Fork Lake in Richland Co. IL. especially in the days of the old OMC stringer drives. They'd chew a hole in the big rubber gasket on the outdrive. |
