Thought provoking question.
Not really. Branches occur all the time in evolution. Some ape branches
evolved faster than others, some others evolved and became exinct. Our
own, not extinct yet but our KT or ET hasn't arrived yet.

4.5 billion years of earth history tells me with certainty that in just 1
million years it will not be the same.

What? You don't accept the dates of cretinism, er, creationism?

Funny, Chretien was a jerk. Creationism means you have a working brain.

Believing in creationism means you believe in voodoo, mysticism, and a
lot of other religious bull****.

My brain was half off...

Creationism versus evolution is synonymous with delusional and rational.

Creationism is for small minds.

Harry's great, great grandfather.

It was either Einstein or Hawking, grasshopper. :)

Remember that the Big Bang is a *theory* and it isn't easy to guess what
was going on before the event.

Uh..... let me rephrase..... *"If children evolved from mommys and

Gene, since nobody else will point out the flaw...

Children don't evolve from their parents, they are born to them. :-)

But humans evolve. Well, at least some do. Let's just keep Harry and Don
out of the equation.

Now you are talking. Imagine explaining that theory to a bunch of half apes
with a 500 word vocabulary say 2000 or 5000 years ago.

Personally, I think they have that big bang theory close but not quite
right. Why cannot the universe have big bangs all over the place as mater
goes through the cycle of creation, decay and then cycled through black
holes. When black holes get starved with no mater to fuel it's growth, it
then "big bangs" in it's area of space to restart the creation of mater all
over again.

And if god said he created the world in 7 days, who the hell are we to think
7 days to god is 7 days to us? Try explaining a billion years (or more) to
a tribe of barbarians where few can read.

Personally, I think a unified theory where creationism, and evolution are
both right. Try explaining evolution to a monkey. But better understood
with a good understanding of biology and evolution, evolution is gods way of
creation then it fits.

Just that the bible (or other religious document) can't be dogmatically
taken in strict context of the present, it is best understood in the frame
of mind of the time it was written. A feat well beyond your average
religious nutball's cranial capacity, in fact beyond most of mankind.
