What a surprise...
States Hit Hardest by Recession Get Least Stimulus Money
"If one relies on the Recovery.gov accounts instead, which, as of July 8, reported $218 billion of spending but without the detailed breakdown provided by the Journal, the bottom line is the same: the money is not going to the states hardest hit by the recession or to the poorest states." http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,533841,00.html States with higher per capita income levels and better economies produce better contributors, which get pork-barrel projects. That's a shocker huh? |

That's a shocker huh? If you look at the data in the report you cited you will see that one point biases conclusions. Disregarding that point which would fall out of consideration in any valid statistical evaluation of the data would show a completely different conclusion. Those with the lowest per capita income got the most stimulus money. Has obama released the stimulus money or are the states still waiting for it? Just a couple of weeks ago only about 5% of it had been spent BUT obama already had a deficit over a trillion dollars in the first six months of his administration. |
