Billions in aid go to areas that backed Obama in '08

"Counties that supported Obama last year have reaped twice as much
money per person from the administration's $787 billion economic
stimulus package as those that voted for his Republican rival, Sen.
John McCain, a USA TODAY analysis of government disclosure and
accounting records shows. That money includes aid to repair military
bases, improve public housing and help students pay for college."

Huh - how about that.

Sounds good to me. Why do you have a problem with it?

Hey, maybe it will balance out the Bush years. You know the years that
the Red States fed at the trough, and the Blue States paid.

Well, hell, the red states want to secede, right?

Conversely, in spite of the fact that Obama came here (Sw Florida) and
had a photo op wringing his hands over the plight of the foreclosed
and unemployed, all of the stridulous money for the shovel ready
projects in Lee County is going to companies from Orlando and the blue
coast, not here. You only have to read the logos on the truck doors
and look at which county the tags are registered in to see that.
I guess it is because Lee County went for McCain.
Politics as usual I suppose.
Life is not fair tho. I voted for Paris Hilton but I didn't get a
discount last week when I stayed in one of her hotels.

Maybe the feds don't want to "offend" your state's right-wing
congressmen, who probably voted NO on the stimulus...

Or perhaps your local officials didn't put their proposals in properly
or on a timely basis...

It's kind of funny that SW Tom hasn't figured out life...yet.
