I was never a big fan, though I do acknowledge his importance to pop
music and pop culture, but enough already. You'd think we were burying a pope, mother teresa, jonas salk, or sarah palin. You know...major contributors. |

You know...major contributors. Hollywood has been known to go over the top on occasion. He was certainly a rare talent but, like so many things in our culture, the attention is overwhelming. I'm starting to think it was a Republican smoke screen for Ensign, Sanford and Palin. |
