Er...well, how do you define "toys"?

If you mean boats, three - the Canyon 33, the Ranger and this pontoon.

If you mean "toys" as in hobby stuff...um...a lot?

I'm still watching for the pontoon bargain but haven't found one yet.

This one was a real bargain. Got it for $1,800 w/new trailer. :)

I gave it to my youngest boy to play with - he and his academy
roommate were thinking about splitting the cost, but as new cops,
families and what not, $900 for a toy was...well, let's just say I did
the Dad thing and bought it for them. Got the upholstery done for a
really good price - cost $900 for the entire thing.

It's got a 70 Johnson two stroke on it - it's a '96 and is really
strong, but I'm thinking of putting a four stroker on it - probably a
90 Merc. Possibly another ETEC - I can get a pretty good price on one
at dealer cost plus 10%, but the boys are inclined towards four
strokes so it might just be better to go with the flow. :)

I suppose I could bolster the motor mount and put a 150 Verado on it -
I can rebadge the pontoon for 8 people instead of 12.

Then again, I'm paying for it and that gives me a certain "privilege"
if you will so ETEC is still a possibility. :)

Got jackplates on that Grady? Everyone on your local lake must **** a
brick when you back that baby down the ramp.

Nice size. Always wondered why my brother-in-law didn't buy one for his
property on a local lake where pontoon boats are popular.
Great unit if you are the sociable type who likes company along.

That image is kind of deceptive - it's a 26' LeizureKraft.

All aluminum too - no wood on it anywhere.

How do you keep that looking nice?

The boat was very clean itself, but the upholstery was ate up from the
sun. My boy found somebody who would reupholster for $900 and used
the Sunbrella fabrics. Hey - I only paid $1,800 for the boat, so an
extra $900 wasn't a lot for new chair and upholstery.

I gave up on furniture on my pontoon boat years ago. The sun and
weather just tears it up.

Next up is a boat cover - in the Fall. For now, we're using regular
old canvass covers for the furniture.

You have to be careful with those too. My neighbor used one when he
went north last summer and when he came back the inside was a science
fair project. Green algae was on everything.
He had a dehumidifier going but something went wrong with it.

I didn't think of that - thanks for the info.

Hmmmm - maybe I'll get the boat cover soonest.
