According to this it was Bush 1 and Dan Rostenkowski. You can buy the DVD. Think they got Rostenkowski later on for stealing postage stamps. Massively lowered the cap gains tax at the same time. According to this. http://www.boattest.com/Resources/vi...px?NewsID=3482 But everybody can write their own history. Even burn it on a DVD. Ain't technology wonderful?! --Vic |

Bush I didn't have much choice in the matter. And so begins another saga of the great 21th Century battles fought, tooth and nail, mano a mano, hammer and tong, bayonets mounted, but blows not struck with metal or sharpened wood point, nor the concussions of explosions or the piercing of blades, but combat joined nevertheless with the 21st Century weapon of choice, THE CITE!!!!!!!! http://www.nytimes.com/1990/10/14/us...pagewanted=all "Representative Dan Rostenkowski, the Illinois Democrat who is chairman of the Ways and Means Committee. His proposal has galvanized Democrats like no other legislation in years." Maybe he galvanized Kennedy out of a hangover. Out East I guess Kennedy is a good target. Here we had Dan and now we have Blago, and some say Obama. Had a good friend who went to Rostenkowski for some immigration help. Her cousin had been in Zimbabwe doing electric tower work when the Solidarity uprisings happened in Poland. He flew into Chicago, and wanted a green card for "persecution" reasons or something like that. Dan came through. I don't doubt that you call the luxury tax the Ted Kennedy Tax.. But this stage of the saga, your words are empty. I have thrown my cite and it has pierced your heart. The battle is won. LONG LIVE THE CITE!!!! ON TO OTHER BATTLES!!! --Vic |

Gimme a break. Railroaded, just like they're trying to do to Blago. --Vic |

Bad deal in more than just boats, but that's another story I suppose. I see from the Brunswick website that Hatteras got sucked into their lair about 2001, so evidently the 90's was cruel to them... |
