Missing SC Governor

Found.

Palmetto Scoop: "The governor who dropped off the face of the Earth
for five days was reportedly found Monday night by his staff hiking
along the Appalachain Trail. That explanation of Mark Sanford's
disappearance has puzzled many folks in South Carolina and across the
country... Well, The Palmetto Scoop have discovered the answer to all
the secrecy: the governor may have gone for a naked hike. No, really.
An Associated Press article from last week heralded Sunday -- Father's
Day -- as 'Naked Hiking Day' on the Appalachian Trail. Yes, Naked
Hiking Day."

Possible, because Sanford has a well-deserved rep as a crackpot. He's
the male equivalent of Sarah Palin.

You are, without doubt, the most arrogant, egocentric, disrespectful,
unthinking person I have ever met. Have you no shame? If people wrote of you
and your family the way you write of people you know little or nothing
about, you would be calling "foul". You give liberals, and even the human
race a bad name.

Your typical bigoted postings are neither witty or clever. WAFA

You are probably right. He's so egocentric (thinks the world revolves around
his ass) that any response to him confirms in his own mind how significant
he is, when the exact opposite is true. I saw someone post a comment about
Will Rogers having never met HK. How true, how true.

To be fair and balanced, why didn't you adopt that stance when Clinton
got a simple hummer in the Rose Garden?

Actually, this transcends "private life." This guy went AWOL without
leaving anybody in charge. Even the Lieutenant Governor had no idea
how to handle matters, if there had been a major emergency in SC. To
make matters worse, the drafters of the SC constitution didn't foresee
such a bizarre happening and didn't allow for transition of power, if
the sitting governor just decides to take a hike away from the job.

What the hell was he doing in Argentina, anyway? Any why didn't
*anybody* (including his wife and family) know where he had gone? Why
did everybody feel compelled to make up some sort of BS story about
where he *really* was?

They guy has always been a bit eccentric, but I think he has finally
crossed the sanity line. He'll get a pass, of course, because he is
popular down there. Think about it, what would you say if Obama did
the same thing?

Looks real promising. Just barely drivable for pizza, maybe 15-20
minutes one way. I always take it home.
Don't like eating an 18" pizza by myself in front of strangers.

Family already knows, so that's not embarrassing.

Got put on hold by 2 different people. Good sign.

You gotta eat where it's made, unless you're with about two minutes.
Steaming in the box/bag screws it all up.

If you can eat an 18 incher by yourself, you're a better man than me.

You gotta eat where it's made, unless you're with about two minutes.
Steaming in the box/bag screws it all up.

If you can eat an 18 incher by yourself, you're a better man than me.

Or at least a greater man than you.

Well, Actually, Gene, if you look at the comments from a few posters
here, and unless I'm missing something, it seems to me that that the
majority of politi-posts usually have the D's and R's reversed in your
comment.

I lean more toward being an R, but regardless of which or what partie
[s]. If a politician is guilty of skulduggery, then they should be
ousted ASAP.

and that goes for R's, D's, I's and L's.

|My point exactly. He was on his time, there should be no

He was *NOT* on his time because he didn't punch the time clock and
leave in an orderly fashion, he left a headless government.

He was out screwing his Argentinean mistress (or master, who knows?)
while the 4.5M citizens of SC were left with nobody at the helm of
state government.

His sexual peccadilloes are between him and his wife. *His mistake was
abandoning his responsibilities as a public servant... even to the

Not to me. I can count on two hands the times I ate pizza at a
restaurant. If I'm in a restaurant I have lasagna, or steak, or
grouper.

If you can eat an 18 incher by yourself, you're a better man than me.

I was just kidding. But I have no problem eating half an 18".

You know, it consistently amazes me that we, meaning the public, are
amazed at the when politicians are exposed as flawed human beings.

It's sad - it's what he did,he deserves everything that happens to
him. Surprised? Naw - it's not like we haven't seen it before.

Rep. Wilbur Mills (D. AK), Rep. Wayne Hays (D. OH), Rep. Robert L.
Leggett (D. CA), Rep. Allan Howe (D. UT) - that's just the '70s. :)

I don't know if it's them or us (normal people), but we seem to hold
them to a higher standard when, in the end, they are all human.

And I'll say this - I was never a Sanford fan - personally, I thought
he was a freakin' looney tune, but his wife and family don't deserve
what he did to them.

That's the sad thing.
