Default iPhones - who has one?

Any iPhone owners here? I am not particularly interested in getting one,
but it's hard to avoid the marketing noise and of course everytime you
walk into an Apple store, one of the sales clerks tries to demo it for you.

If you have an iPhone, what uses beyond the usual cell phone stuff most
appeals to you? Do you have a lot of apps? Do you use them frequently?

The only person I know with one is the office manager at a client's
offices. She likes the virtual keyboard for sending text messages to the
business's far-flung staff.

Can you Twitter with an iPhone?
I hear a lot about this "Twittering" on the news.
Somehow I don't feel like I'm missing anything.
After all, if I want to hear nonsense, I just download rec.boats.

Damned if I know. I don't even like "instant messaging" on my cell
phone. I'll leave twitters to the tweets, or whatever twitterers are
calling themselves.

I'm curious because of all the market hype on the iPhone.

All I want from a cell phone:

Really long battery life
"Face" you can see in direct sunlight
High quality, loud speaker
Good strong cell signal pretty much everywhere I go

I only use mine to make phone calls or to accept a call from someone I
know.

Please note that Interstate 90 will be closed this weekend across
South Dakota. This closure will allow the Federal Government free
access to haul a 200 ton piece of coal to Mt. Rushmore so that
President Obama can be added to the Presidents on the monument.

If that is what you want, you don't want an IPhone. I am surprised
you needed to ask this question.

His parents are gone and his children have disowned him. He needs one
with three buttons "Karen","911", and "Bail Bonds".

I only push the one button that calls my wife. I have never called
anyone else. She is the only person with my number. My wife put the
settings in, I haven't a clue, nor do I really want one. It is as
simple as POTS.
