Looks like later today "we" will own 60% of General Motors.
What a country, huh?

Only cost us about $56 billion for a company that has been insolvent since
1980.

Could have bought them for $150M this morning at 27 cents a share.

Or could have picked them up for a few billion in chapter 11....or cheaper
in chapter 7.

But big noisy statism...line the buddies pockets.

Makes me wonder though. Why did it pop up to 80 cents or so? After a 100:1
or more dilution in this plan, it isn't worth 27 cents. Do people holding
GM shares not now know they are valued at about the same as a roll of toilet
paper? LOL, buy 100 shares so you can wipe your arse.

You guys really want to get depressed by Government Motors?

Unbelievable.

I like the part about keeping GM alive to protect existing government
revenues/institutions. Can't have all of those people sitting at home
wait for a job to come along sucking at the teat of the government.

The kid is 31 with no job experience and he's already a bureaucrat. Any
one Larry Summers recommends needs to be thrown out the door on his ass.

Why? Who can do worse than Waggoner?
Ken Lay maybe, but he's dead.
Bernie Madoff maybe, but he's in jail.
The good ole boys ain't doing too good lately.

Make no mistake... the GM deal is welfare and food stamps for the
autoworkers, just sent through a different funnel.

Hey, fellow stock holder ....

My sister and I own about 200 shares of GM, any potential buyers??
These shares go back about 1925 when my Dad took 10 shares of GM stock
in lieu of a bonus. The shares have compounded thru dividends and
splits. Pontiac Motors was known as Oakland Motors back when he first
went to work there.

Frame the certificates and put them on eBay. They might get you more there.

Hey, fellow stock holder ....

Good idea!! But I'm afraid the frames will cost more than the stock
shares are worth.
