The media and some others consider the Republican party dead. HOWEVER,
the Republican party does not have to elect a president in the next
elections. In the off year elections it is the congressman that counts,
and how the people see their congressman.

Based on history, the Republicans will control at least one of the
Houses of Congress after the 2010 elections, enough to stop the
free-spending, promoter-of-obsolete-ideas obama and his unconstitutional
agenda.

Then, they can start looking for a presidential candidate for 2012.

In today's political realm, with the Dems holding a strong majority in
the House and 58 seats in the Senate (and soon to be 59), and the White
House, Republicans are of no real consequence.

It'll be interesting to see how much more damage the GOP does to itself
with the Supreme Court nomination.
