nomintated for one of the higher courts under HW Bush and many
Republicans voted for her.

No one who matters cares, Tom. Unless there is something really horrific
in her background, she will sail through confirmation, no matter what
crap the Republicans try.

But be of good cheer...Obama will be able to nominate at least one or
two additional associate justices in his first term, and perhaps two
more in his second. In 2017, when the next Democratic president assumes
office, *she* will be able to nominate a few more moderates.
